Get a good lawyer that handles DUI’s regularly. Depending on the area I may be able to refer you to a few who are excellent.
1st offense you’ll most likely have to pat a couple grand in fines and other costs and lose your license for 30 days. Don’t skimp on trying it without a lawyer though, there are a few tricks of the trade that the extra loot for an attorney are well worth. PM me if you need any recommendations on an attorney, I’m an attorney but DUI’s are not in my area of expertise.

damn, im not even 21 and ive driven home a few times with a few in me. but regardless, i’d say the best sounding option is the plead guilty, be sorry, already have started aa and classes and shit. ive found that it never works to fight the system, just go with the flow and ride along, the system has always taken care of me. but what do it know?

It doesn’t matter if you are drunk or not, Thats why its called legally with a .08 blood alcohol level. 2 beers doesn’t do shit to me either, but it will still register what it does…

I was thinking if you went out to dinner, had a few beers with your meal and drove home. You wouldn’t be drunk but would possibly blow a .08 and get busted.
I think the fines/jail time should be much stiffer than they are currently, but raise the limit to get the drunks and not the guy who has a few with dinner. Target the drunks who have a 6 pack in 1/2 hour and drive to another bar to do the same thing, that’s where it gets dangerous for everyone on the road.

Intoxicated, no. You can drive with one eye closed legaly, and thats imparing. There are studies that state driving intoxicated is no worse than driving tired. WTF. On average, drinking drivers make 1,000 drinking driving trips before being arrested.
thats more trips than I’ve seen some sober people going without hitting something.
But you could have hit a bus full of nuns and children and flipped it over. Hell if you are like the average drunk driver and done it 1000 times before you probably have killed somone, and just don’t remember it.
A lawyer told my ex bitch that its easier to get out of murder than your first DUI.
My advise is to learn to like yourself without being high. That way you don’t have to drink and drive.

Which again is bullshit. .08 BAC isn’t shit and the average person can be at that after one drink. So how can they tell you you are an alcoholic and have to go to meetings because you had a beer or glass of wine or 2 with dinner and its your luck you happen to drive through a check point…

you need to take the weight of the drinker, the potency of the beer, and the speed in which it was consumed into consideration.
i’d put cash on the fact that drinking two Coors Lights in a half-hour wouldn’t put you over the limit. I weigh less than you, and I could have four beers in one hour before I blew a .08
I drive after two or three beers every Friday night with no problem.
