There is no adapter for what you want to do. You can only convert from DVI to VGA, not VGA to DVI.
You cannot do anything about it, since you have integrated video. Its not THAT much of a difference, so it sounds like you got a nice deal 
If in the near future you buy a new computer, at least you’ll have the possibility of using the DVI on the monitor.
