Dynamotorsports, anyone heard of them?

Has anyone heard of this shop before? Looking to get some pricing for a 2JZ-GTE swap into my GS300 or an IS300.

Seems like they do pretty crazy stuff, including 500whp camry, 500whp GSR, 900whp supra etc etc.

Anyone know the shop or had work done by them, any comments?

Yeah, Tony has been in the scene for as long as I can remember. Has always had/built crazy cars. Was one of the first dudes to have a quick N/A Integra back in the day.

I can’t comment too much on the shop or his work but from what I know, he’s a good dude.

tony is a very good tuner. you’d be in good hands going to him.

Tony is a serious man, back in the day he would bring out his monster toyota camry to dudebridge and people would get a zap by him.

I’ve been spanked by that camry before in Rhill.
I boosted through a light to make the yellow and I noticed him beside me doing the same thing…All I heard was spooling and he was GONEEEEEEEEEEE!
Found out who he was later that night, pretty sick.

So I inquired about swapping a 2JZ-GTE VVT-i into the IS300 and he said he would not take the job since how it works out, is unsatisfactory to his liking. Too many things like no dash, running 2 ECUs, etc etc.

I guess I’ll take his advice and stick to the GS300 =P

sucks to be you!!! wheres the loyalty man. here are a few suggestions… downgrade to the older gs, buy an aristo or just turbo the power plant in ur car now and just be happy with 300whp… or buy a half cut from japan direct n swap everthing over…

Well only reason why I was thinking IS300 is because I could sell the GS300 for more cash than buying an IS300, and use that remaining cash to pay for the 2JZ-GTE swap itself LOL

Why not turbo the IS300 stock motor…

If you can get 300whp reliably out of a stock internal KA with proper tuning, why not the IS300’s motor? :stuck_out_tongue:

stock internals cannot handle 300whp iirc, would need GTE internals plus a different ECU (would need standalone or piggyback iirc).

plus, the IS300s that are cheap have crazy high mileage 250k+, don’t feel like rebuilding a stock NA 2JZ then turbo’ing it, might as well get a JDM 2JZ-GTE motor right?

The IS300 is nice but picture this: All black GS300 with full Junction Produce aero, tails, and trim. LED DRL’s, all black paint, black tint, 3K HID fogs, 4300K HID headlights. Air suspension, and 18" Scara rims to sit on. Ballin VIP car with lots of go power tRight here.

I’d like to see an RB in one personally. I never paid much attention to the LS engines. I like the old school big blocks when it comes to American engines.

That Camry (which rumour has it was/is his mom’s) is now twin-charged. TRD supercharger at 6psi as a feeder to a T51R at 26psi…apperently the car is well over 500wheel

If that’s the same guy I’m thinking of, then he also has a 2JZ-GE turbo’d IS300. Really nice and stealthy looking too, even when he pops the hood, it’s really well hidden. Did you ask him about the costs and work involved with turboing the NA one? He did it on his own car, so it can’t be that bad of an idea.

^^ Did some research and to NA-T the IS300 costs AT LEAST 10g+.

GTE internals, ALL turbo related parts + labour ends up in the 5 digit area easily.

Even a cheap kit that provides low hp numbers is 6k USD+ 2k install + misc costs.
