what kind of numbers did everyone run?
i know exactly how ya feel. mine was a lot lower than i was expecting to see too, and i’m so pissed that i’m selling the car.
well, not really. i’ve been told numerous times that high stalls eat up the numbers on a dyno, but i didn’t think it would be that bad. oh well, it’s the track that reallly shows what the car is putting down though so i’ll wait and get some real times before i put it up for sale.
my numbers
on motor 294.04hp, 328.95tq
on spray 373.80hp, 395.13tq (about a 110 shot)
if that’s all i’m really making and it’s not true about stalls putting low numbers on the dyno, i’ll be pretty disappointed since my buddy with the ws6 put down 324?hp with just a catback, lid, and a ported throttle body.
well my car was dynoed in reverse!!!

The black turbo-diesel smoke, and the level of noise volume that thing produced were pretty cool to see/hear.
Some nice cars there, for sure.
I need to clean up my air/fuel a bit, but I’m happy overall.
My Numb3ers:
Motor: 308hp/322tq
Spray: 422hp/434tq
I also thought my motor number was way low.
A 3600lb car running 110 in the quarter should be around 375.
Maybe there is something to that high stall/low dyno numbers theory?? :dunno:
stalls can eat power and especially wont display true hp if you dont lock them up on the run. i didnt hear your stall lock up. Does your converter ever lock up under WOT?
I locked mine up at 60mph for my dyno run and if i ever get teh vid uploaded youll notice when it locks up as the rpms flash under the initial hit then the motor sounds like it dies off as the converter locks up and rpms drop back down. there is no more slippage going on once its locked up.
at the track tho, my car runs faster ET and MPH wise with the converter OPEN during the 1/4 mile run. not sure why that is but it works.
on the dyno i saw 10-15whp increase once it locks up.
here is my old run from earlier this year. put down 246. that crazy twist spot in the dyno graph is when the converter locks up and rpms drop. power goes up there. so you probly have another 10-15hp atleast in there if you didnt lock the converter
anyway i put down 254 and was running pretty lean up top end. thought i’d be in the mid 260’s but overall i cant complain except that my new mods didnt really do anything for the car lol just few ponies
I’m happy with my numbers even though the peak doesn’t seem that impressive I like how fat the curve is
anyone know why this graph has speed instead of rpm?
i was abit disspointed in that lol i think they switched over and forgot to put it back. i tried to convert the speed to mph with my gearing/tires etc but it doesnt work out quite right. hp is suppose to cross tq at 5252 rpms and mine does at 5000…thats impossible so i think the tach pickup was off 200 rpms or so
yeah, i was playing with it on the way home, and as soon as i stomp it, it breaks loose. i’d almost have to have hptuners or something where i can make the computer lock it up and run it that way.
yeah i’m not familar with LS1 tuning stuff or how the 4l60E uses lockup converters but i know on mine i have a lockup threshold that i can place at any mph speed. i choose 60 as thats the lowest speed my car will stay in third gear at WOT
Jakes red cobra put down the most hp on dyno day.Barely beating the diesel truck. I love terminators personally. He did 453/455. His torque number was low for some reason.
