E Brake problem? corrosion.. line still fine..

ok so i was taking off my rear calipers the other day… and this happend…

basicly… the thing in the right circle came off the casing around the line(left circle) and cracked/broke sorta… aluminum oxide:/: (how i hate it as much as rust)

so you think it needs replacing? or does it not effect the ebrake… the line is still fine. its just the metal part taht separated from the casing on the left…

anyone know?

it should be alright for a while. Thats just the outer sleeve to protect the actual steel line. Now that is broken it will probably rust the cable and either break or seize. Id grease it up real good to protect it from rust. maybe spray it with wd40 or liquid wrench first then cover it up and pack it with grease. or pull the cable right off and see if you can slide some heat shrink over the break and seal it up.

Lol didnt I brake that?
