This. You can afford to buy a BMW, and then you can afford to OWN a BMW.
IIRC, we’re both in similar situations with work/school/life/trying to find a house… I “toyed” with this idea a LOT… but it never worked out haha.
If you can pull it off, and live with a car that’s just a “a to b” car, this is by far the best idea for the time being. I just drive too much now to drive anything that’s not somewhat fun.
This.
And yeah, we are pretty much twins lol.
As far as the Prizm goes, the CEL is gone and it’s still getting 35 mpg but its going to need pretty much every suspension component replaced as well as a few engine related issues addressed.
When I post it for sale, it’s not going to be a pros/cons sale…it’s going to be a “it DOES have a nice steering wheel, but everything else sucks” sale.
For approximately $6800 total you can lease a brand new camry for 2 years from basil toyota. Im sure beck can give you all the details. looks like maintenance comes with it, and the insurance rates for these are low.
So, for $6800, you can have a hassle free ownership of a admittedly boring yet nice to drive car. I drove one back from Pittsburgh. its quiet, comfy, and wont cause your blood pressure to rise.
This thread sucks, 4 pages and still no car, what a cry baby.
Thanks Gennarro.
Informative.
should hang out with Honda4lyfe
Now this is INFORMATIVE!
Just buy a Miata.
<3
Mazda has some nice lease deals to.
I’m “meh” about leasing. It’s practical for me but at the same time I am 100% against contracts and BS.
I just paid off all my credit card debt, bills and insurance so that I didn’t owe anyone money. I don’t wanna tie myself to a lease.
2001 325ci 1 owner, i am 2nd owner, car came out of pa no salt, NEVER HAS SEEN SNOW. 79k clean title, 5speed, pm me if interested
he bought a ford ranger instead
You guys are acting like an e46 is remotely hard to maintain. There are free fucking rotors on this site for one right now.
Yes there were, gone now.
Thanks for the help guys, but yeah I decided to stop wasting time with this BMW nonsense and bought a truck. Way more practical and reliable, and I can still do burnouts.
Lol.
