e85

Do we have any and where and how available is it? Curious. And cost.

I spotted it somewhere, just cant remember if it was in in toronto or when I back in edmonton. whats is your use for it?

its ethanol. So… if you tune your car for it… it will run on it  Far more common in the states though…

There is a station on hwy24 between Cambridge and Guelph with E85, from what people have told me apparently you have to have a factory flexfuel vehicle for them to sell it to you. Not sure if that is true or not though.

I could see that being true. it will rot out stock fuel lines, not quickly, but an obvious danger.

oh ok I wasn’t sure if you needed it for a flexfuel vehicle or to run your car on that

If he is converting his car to run on e85, I’m sure he’d take the precaution of doing all that work.

btw I’m curious, I know the regular gas octane system doesnt apply to e85. but can the e85 compare to a certain gas octane level on some standard of measurment?, like the comustion temp?

Around 110 octane iirc. Good substitute for race gas.
