Edit: Actually reading now, long read but it’s fascinating.

Its actually a great read- I read it during the week. Definitely possible if you “work the system” and spend a little time learning coupons/ sales, and you don’t have to live on crap like Ramen Noodles all month, you can actually eat semi- healthy for less than $1 a day.

thats insane ! i thought vlad wrote that article for a second

thats way too much time and brain power wasted for something like that, that must be for someone who works a normal job and has nothing else to do

I’d have to know the stats of the person and the macronutrient breakdown of the diet to see if it was actually sufficient or not.

Ramen is horrible for you, sodium content is off the map. :rofl

Almost any of that Chinese microwave meal crap is insane in sodium content, but other than that and lack of certain nutrients, it’s pretty good, especially when mixed with real food.

I personally think his challenge would be alot tougher if he had a more time constraining job. This guys seems to have lots of free time on his hand, doing tasks like house sitting and walking with his sister and such. I didn’t see mention of an actual full time job anywhere in there

Who needs a full time job when you spend $30 a month on food? :lol
