What motor?? What ecu?? What year??
Maybe try Adrian at HyperDuck Tuning. He does a lot of Honda tuning but not sure if he switched over to Nissan. He had an S14 last year so maybe he’s done a few.
98 motor and ecu
Sr,Ka,Ca,RB…?
oops sorry
ka
haha cool, that should really help you get a responce
did you try to contact this guy?
never heard anything first hand… but as seen on ebay
I have actually talked to this guy,
He seems to be an honest good guy,
actually I was going to GB his ECU’s but I have the feeling
that since they were not JWT and Eph that people would wuaickly Rag on them with out any actuall experance with them
I still can do a GB if enough people are interested
As of 3/1/2006 EFISpecialist will be closed for a while due to a personal reason. If you’re an existing customer, feel free to call me at 510-303-6530 or email sales at efispecialist dot com for tech support. At this moment, I don’t have an estimated date of when the website or the ecu tune service will resume again. For new customer, if you are really desperate for an ecu tune at such a low price you can try to convince me via email and maybe you will get lucky.
my bad, site down…
Self tuning is fun!
lol if i ahd the knowlegde and was comfortable enough doing it (ie. if i had money to throw around on a nother motor incase i blow this one) then ide agree with you.
That’s kind of the problem with mail-away ECU tuning.
The programmer is going to supply you with a map based on your mods, common upgrades, and probably have a huge safe margin as well.
While it likely won’t blow up, you’re not going to have any benefit of an actual “tune”. Typically they are over-rich and under timed. I’m not trying to slog anyone’s work, it’s just very hard to predict a motor’s needs and be accurate.
Without feedback (ie wideband + dyno) there’s no real way to know what’s going on with your particular setup.
Hi everybody, it took a while for Efispecialist to get started again. If you guys are still interested in a GB please contact me. I can be reached at 5109961065. Thank you
pick up a zeitronics wideband, NRE, a romulator, and a daughter board and do the tuning youreself.
we’re not all ballers like you their matthew
That’s what I did, although I haven’t used NRE yet…
NRE and LiveEdit are free… www.romeditor.com
A wideband is something you should really have if you are planning to make more power and not blow anything up…
Daughter boards are cheap off ebay, you just need to know how to solder…
I have a CA so I didn’t even need the daughterboard.
The Wideband and the Rom Emulator will be the most expensive parts…
I used a romulator from xtronics but you can use any ROM emulator.
NRE is nto free, NRE is the continuation of Liveedit, The zeitronics wideband will send data right into NRE, this is much more helpful then using Live edit and datalog files.
much better program.
