Are you one of the f-body crew that started humping the LS1 instead of talking about heads for a SBF?
If not, you aren’t worth mentioning… if you were one of those dumbasses… then yes, I’m referring to you.
I went from a f-body… to a fox body. It made about 3x as much power with less cubes. It is all in what you make of it.
I make a blanket statement, without quoting a single one of you… and then you all start back pedaling. If you just thought before you posted… in a thread about a 302 FORD motor… you wouldn’t have to defend yourself.
Justin is jealous because he never had a car worth trailering… and then he would have to buy a trailer and a truck. He was better off just driving a slow car. :roflpicard:
and LZ asked about Wookie’s LS1LOL lisc plate, which is laughable considering his setup and the cars hes going to run into around here, but whatever… i was discussing cylinder heads, but idc. I like mustangs, and i like LSX cars, so shoot me.
Nah I won’t run around claiming “street car” and have it see 50 miles of real street a year :bloated:
And yes this all started because I asked about the LS1 LOL plate…and we come to find out that car isnt overly impressive.
which then turned in him saying “well I will build a 408 blah blah blah” and go beat on LS1 cars  so cleary the logic is 408 + aftermarket heads + XXXXX = the ability to beat LS1 cars in a Mustang?
I guess you can say there is no “best head” (lol), but I said to get ahold of my brother about getting AFRs… very cheap. There isn’t a head out there making more HP/dollar when you have a connection on heads… especially if you’re getting AFRs that cheap.
He got maybe 5 miles out of it this year. Down my road and back a couple times. The car couldn’t handle the power.
So wait, you’re saying that it wouldn’t be fair if the LS1 had stock displacement?
That’s funny, you posted this earlier in the thread…
By the way, if I had built my motor with high compression, a different cam, and no turbo, it would be making the same numbers, just without the option of cranking the boost for more power. I fail to see how you don’t understand this.
What I’m saying, is that going FI or NA are two different upgrade paths. NA could produce similar numbers to mine, but I didn’t go that way and I wouldn’t have the option to crank up the boost and make more power. LZ doesn’t seem to get that my car is a pretty tame combo because I’m not a fan of shooting pistons out the side of the block.
