I found this on another forum, and it seemed pretty interesting. Some guy went to a chicken processing plant and took pictures and videos.

There is some GRAPHIC CONTENT so be advised before continuing. Did you think that killing chickens and preparing them wouldn’t be at least a little graphic and bloody?

First: Truckloads of cages full of chicken are delivered to the plant. These are empty but you get the idea.

He couldn’t get pictures of the heads and the feet getting cut off. They do it by hand, and even I am still curious as to how they do it :frowning: Oh well… at least you get the general idea :slight_smile:

I have cleaned chickens before, they stink. And yes they do run with their heads cut off…its quite amusing lol.

I bet that place reeks.

I don’t eat meat if I can tell it was once living–ie it has a bone or something of some sort. It just gives me the heebie jeebies and I hate having those. They make me want to pee.

yea. i mean sure it was interesting, but i’m pretty sure i speak for everyone when i say ‘yea that’s what i figured they did’.

shrug. and like someone said already, people have killed to eat since the dawn of man… just because we are more efficient at it now then our ancestors were, doesn’t make it ‘wrong.’

Why isn’t thtat bitch wearing any gloves or protective gear when bleeding them chickens. I’m all for food, but health is a primary concern!
