i didnt feel like driving last night, ive driven enough in the past week.
whatever :gay
i woulda gave ya a ride to remeber :nod :hug
yea i already know what ur next ride is but thats stayin on the downlow ;D
Wow 20k on a puck? Puck clutches grab hard, are great for launching/slamming gears, and I acctualy like driving with them, I like a fast responce, but I’ve never had a good experiance with a puck clutch lasting more than a few thousand miles with harsh driving on a daily basis… DXD is another company that uses Dual firction clutches and a lot of nissan guys use them for harsh driving becuase they tend to last longer than a puck clutch, granted they dont grab as hard.
There not all garbage, but IMHO they suck for DD…
I in now way ment to make it sound like “ALL PUCKS ARE GARBAGE AND IF U HAVE ONE YOUR A TWAT” :tong
I had a 3 puck, I know thats a lot harsher than your 6 puck… but it made stop and go traffic damn near impossible, becuase you were either on or off the clutch, there was not letting off easy. I forget the brand but it was a decent company, not any F1 clutches from ebay. Got maybe 3-4kmi of DD before it shit the bed.
and How travis drives and the fact its his DD i just wouldent think its the best idea
think how ya want opinions are like assholes everyone has one and they all stink …but mine i stay powder fresh :lol
buy quality and you get good life, and dont drive like a tool all day. 20k on mine and im not easy on it, i dont abuse it, but i drive hard from time to time. city driving isnt too bad, nothing like a full face, chatter isnt too bad, i have a 14lb flywheel which helps alot. i dont see any reason i cant get another 20k or more out of this clutch. i know many people who have made over 400whp and done 60k+ on a CLUTCHNET pucked clutch
i had a spec stg3 6puck in my focus. i LOVED how that clutch grabbed and felt for daily driving. with that said, that clutch lasted me 50k miles and was still grabbing strong as ever when i traded the car in on the STi. i did some research on the rps im getting… its rated to 575ft lbs of tq. more than enough to hold what im putting down. rather than going through a shop, im willing to pay someone $100 cash to HELP me install it assuming they have proper tools and know how. i dont have much else to offer at this point except a night alone with swifty? MUST be installed by 7/29. let me know people. thanks.
id do it buttt someone owes me still lol kiddinggg i have the tools at my house
.
:idiots :ponder
dude dont underestimate my mechanical skills ive been around cars since i was 6
I’d come help if you need some extra muscle. :nod
posted asking for assistance on unysoc as well.
88slomarrowwsss88???
i trust john doing it no doubt… but cant afford to pay the shop hourly charge. if he is willing to do it for $100… he will get it.
If you find someone to do an STI clutch for $100 you better damn well blow them also…it’s a hell of a job for that little bit of money!
ive seen whats involved in removing the engine. the engine can be removed in less than 2 hours by a competent technician. installing the clutch doesnt even require this. im figuring it can be done in ~3 hours with proper tools/knowledge. 100$ for 3 hours as a side job… 33$/hr… yeah… thats worth it.
Im debating if I would wanna help you with this or not, I have a garage, and tools… granted theyre scatterd all over now after doing Hooked On 240’s clutch… but seriously, I think that trans would be a little more of a bitch to do on jackstands than the 240… plus the only tranny work ive done on a suby is putting a new automatic tranny in my friends wifes suby wagon
Someone please lend a hand so he can go ATTACK TIMEZ!
