I’m of no help, sorry.
BUT, is it for a 2 dr or 4 dr ek? I hate my power windows and wouldn’t mind some old school cranks…
damn i wish you were saying that when i had my old ek hatch lol.
diddy shoot b18ctrb a pm, he did this conversion in his ek hatch and has the harnesses youll need.
I think my power windows are wack, always have been on any honda i’ve owned.
Crank windows would be BA
why not try to pull everythign off a car in the junkyard… IE doors and such
really is it that bad to have crank windows?
he just wants wiring diagram silly. Don’t get all cranky.
But seriously… my windows are like 2 slow kids racing in wheelchairs…ugh soo bad.
not mad… just do see why
but really its like 6-8 wires depends on 2 or 4dr
2 second google search.
hope this helps.
no “let me google that for you”
Don’t bother. Seriously. It’s extremely labour intensive to add stuff to the doors. The civics without power windows don’t have the power window wiring. All they’ve got is the two wires for the speaker in the door.
i bet it’s a PITA
this is what im trying to say
I don’t even know whats goin on mannnnn
the kid asked a question, in the TECH section no less. This board needs more TECH questions/discussions, not more people saying its too much of a PITA.
This is the Tech section. Any irrelevant posts will be deleted.
Sorry for the OT posts, GL with the conversion.
If you are successful post results.
ok with that said … yes this will be crazy hard to do unless you have a donor car sitting right next to it… this is why i said could be easer to find doors with everything in it now and then all you need to do is wire in the harness under the dash and power it … the plugs will just replace the ones you have in there now
Paul spray some lubricant on the tracks of the windows. I used to have to do this to the integra atleast once a year.
Good looks… but I’ve been on top of that. It’s always the passenger side that acts slow as fawk on the past 3 honda’s I’ve had…
Weaker passenger side motor?
Original poster: Like mentioned before, it will be a lot easier to source a doner for the whole setup and obviously it will have the harnesses. I believe we have a setup for the passenger side here at the shop. And all the driver side wiring minus the window and motor. You’ll have to call and talk to Paul to see if he wants to get rid of the passenger side stuff, but I’m sure he’ll dump the driver side (whats left of it) stuff.
Everyone else complaining about honda windows. The design is kinda crappy on these. I usually lube (remove door skin and spray away with silicon or some other lube) always just before winter hits. I also usually take the time to adjust the track as well. I’ve noticed much better results by shimming one of the lower track bolts with a few washers and getting a longer bolt from the hardware store. It’s really just a matter of seeing where it’s binding and using your brain to figure out what would make it work better.
 always lubed, never adjusted or shimmed. TY
I have the whole door with pw on my car now i just need to figure out which wire powers the switch there are like 30 of em on the harness
