oh id definitely need the regulator and motor… and the amplifier and all that jazz… its all located under the door panel of a door that has power windows and locks, like i said i bought 2 doors with all that jazz in it… so i have all the components necessary in the door, im just stuck on the wiring… im gonna check out that link u posted… hopefully this harness deally isnt hard to get…
ok so yeah, what they mentioned in that thread… the dude said he had one plug thats not in use, thats what i was talking about in my first post, because the wires that come from the door theres TWO plugs, and in my 240 there is only one plug unused, not too…
Yes it seems that link doesn’t clarify the problem. They say it just clips into the base model wires, but it is obvious due to your situation that it does not… (Well at least right after the door hinge it doesn’t) Maybe it clips in directly farther down the line, instead of just right after the door hinge? Any one know or have done this?
So yea, I guess I was somewhat on track. You need to replace the complete harness in order for it to be direct plug and play. (2 plugs instead of only 1)
Here is what I found on Zilvia.

I’m just wondering if I needed anything else before I start on this project. I have both power doors with the pl,pw, and side mirror. I plan on just switching doors. Is it as easy as that (switch doors, connect wires)???
Not quite you need to get the power relays . The job is doable , I am doing it and my friends have done it but you have to have a grip on wiring .
The easiest way to do this would to be to find a wrecked SE in a yard and pull out its interior harness complete.
Replace your interior harness and then everything would be in the right place and it would be plug and play.
Of course some people feel thats a lot of work. Its up to you either way it can be done it just takes some time.
Though getting the doors complete with wires and guts does make it easier as well turning it into a straight wire job.
if u have no luck finding a harness, u have do have all the stuff in the door’s u can just grab some wiring diagrams and wire up everything ur self. doesnt have to be exactly like factory. just get a wiring diagram to see what wire does what. shouldnt be to hard.
Well… I have access to the whole doors and it’s guts… I’m trying to imagine what it all looked like from when we were disconnecting the wires from a parts car where they lead to… LOL I wonder of there’s done kind of easy way to pull out the whole harness…
And thanks hacknik, I’ve never seen the zilvia forum, but k did check out nico, couldn’t find a direct answer to the question like you did, thanks again.
people don’t do this swap much any more, the easiest thing to do is take the harness from a parts car and use that…
you can however just run wires accross side to side and then to power… it’s not super difficult to have the windows work, if u want power mirrors it’s significantly more annoying to wire.
there was actually once a guide here on son on how to do the power windows, from what i remember it was pretty much correct. search the forums, it was posted by one of the other OG members some time back when i first joined in like 2003 lol
