Electrical Problem :(

Hey,

I’m having some electrical problems. The power locks, headlights, and interior lighting only work when my ignition is set to ACC. I always had power locks, headlights, and interior lighting without it being in ACC.

I’ve checked all fuses under the dash. This just started :?

Might be my TCU, I had a little battery mishap few a months ago when installing a battery at 2 am in the dark :x I fryed a fuse. But did replace it. My car has been parked since then, and I just went to clean her up today when I noticed this :frowning:

Anyways,

Any help would be great. I’m puzzled.

Thanks,

Andrew.

I doub’t its your TCU.

The FSM always helps man…

I looked in the FSM, trying to figure it out. Yeah its not TCU, has nothing to do with this.

All I know is, nothing works without the ignition in ACC

I’m boggled man…

So am I?
I did however discover my alternator fuse was gone. I didn’t know the alt had one? Wait a minute…

Thats what it was! Alternator fuse was the problem. When ignition is off, thats where the car gets all its power from. Off of the main battery there are three leads. One of them goes to that. I assume the other are for the other two ignition settings (ACC and ON)

Funny how things work
