Didn’t realize that was a link. Well from what I’ve heard (never met the kid), he’s a bit of a tool. And apparently he has no idea what the used car market is like right now…or ever with that price.

Didn’t read the posts and don’t know the story, but sounds like an exaggerated version of the typical dimbulb that thinks mods on the car add value.
It’s exaggerated because apparently he is including several configurations and rebuilds too!? Ridiculous.
Another thing that bothers me… When people put up a car ad and it says “Selling for $_____ because that’s what I owe on it”. Just makes me want to cry.

i could buy an 04 R32, and put less than 10 grand into it and have a faster, and better looking car. just gotta know what to buy for it.

that one isnt bad. im not a big fan of the shop that did the work, but the bill schimmel engine is top notch.

i was thinking it could be done cheaper than 35k let alone 85k, but i dont know the first thing about vw’s! there are a few on this site that make me want one but again i wouldnt know wat to buy for it
it could be done for under 30k… without a problem.
