Yes that is what you are supposed to spend. Take her out and see what she likes then get that. My rings together were only 2000 i got them at kings and i love them. My engagement ring is heart shaped and everything together is 1 carat. So a carat is just right unless she don’t like stones that big. Just remember to get good clarity. and make sure there are little flaws as possible.
