my engine is flooding everysingle time i turn the key.
ive searched, and the results didnt really help. like putting the gas pedal to the floor and try to start it. and theres also one on the coolent temp sensor. or the clogged cat.
im not sure right now if i have spark cuz i dont think i can test it just bymyself since i cannot be cranking the car and checking…
also how do you check if the coolent temp sensor is busted?
and is the engine light supposed to be on before you crank the car? i dont remember it is…
im in need of major help! it just seems to be getting worse and worse.
which motor?
Did this just start happening out of nowhere? car runs one day and next day it doesnt, or is it a new install?
you need to verify spark. you can do it by yourself. pull out the plug and rest it on a grounded surface (ex mani. or w.e) turn the crank pulley with a ratchet. and watch. obviously the key must be in the ON position.
well this motor is a KADE, just put back in after i was done painting my engine bay and doing some work onto the car. it ran shaky and all, and then i pulled out my iacv, and cleaned it. then i put it back in and it ran a little bit better but it was still shaking alot.
soo then i ripped out my intake system, checked up on the vacumn lines up front, and put everything back together for sure. since i triple checked everything. ooyea and i also took out my coolent temp sensor to clean. and thats it.
You sure it’s flooding? Smoking once it comes around? Most guys just get the fuel lines mixed up and that will cause a long crank cause it will feed through the regulator first. You want it the to fill the the rail then regulate on the return.
i am sure the lines are in the right spot, i marked them down with colourful tape and permanent marker.
the car did run before. but it was shaking like a mofo. so i decided to check out for cracks in the intake and see if any holes are on the vacumn lines. after put back all together, this is what happened.
im pretty sure it is flooding cause when i take out the spark plugs they are covered with gas. after i burn all the gass off of all the spark plugs and try to start it again, it will just re-flood.
i read on nico, that the injectors should have a 11-12ohms resistance, how do you test this? cuz when i tested injectors they went to 0, soo i tested out my friend’s S14 and it was tha same, only thing different is that when you test out the harness, his one reads 25 and stays there, mine it goes to like 30 and then keeps on rising and rising…
