Engine Swap Done! (Pics)

So yeah, my engine blew and I decided to buy Jesse’s engine and get Chris to install it for me. I just want to say thanks to Jesse for his great engine, Chris (canadiandrifter240sx) for doing a great job of installing it, and Bing for bringing his mom’s van to help transport the engine to the shop. lol oh yeah, and I wanna thank Bing and Theo for bringing some pizza as well

I said it to you on MSN and I’ll say it again, VERY NICE brother. Im happy for you that everything is all fixed up.

Nice install guys.

Nice job Mark, boost it! and did u find out what was wrong with the old motor?

Where did this swap take place? Looks like a bigass garage.

You’re lucky to have such helpful friends. And that’s what SON is about. Luck.

it should be noted that chris did this entire swap from start to finish by himself in less than 10 hours from the point the engine and car were in the same place (uninstalled) to the point that the car drove away.

this is further testament to the fact that chris is unbelievable…lol

lets get him a present

luck schmuck,

chris is wicked, that is what SON is about.

Mark! Nice job cleaning!! That thing looks better then it ever did in Jesse’s car! (Hah, sorry jesse, maybe I just never saw it cleaned…)

This was done at a Do It Yourself Garage In St. Kitts.

lol thanks, and nope, we did not find out what was wrong with the old motor, the timing chain and cams looked good when we took off the valve cover, it was probably something on the inside that was damaged lol.

Good job guys, I should of been there to help tho since I think I helped contribute to the engine breaking down when I took his car out in the parking lot.

Good luck Birdhou53 with the new engine and hopefully I can repay you somehow this summer.

I really wish that I lived closer to some of you guys, I want in on some of this work.
Looks really nice I think i should do that to my valve cover if you don’t mind me using your idea.

I would’nt blame yourself to much man as the motor was probabley on it’s way out anyway. You just put it out of it’s misery! So whether it was you or Mark playing around it was gona go. Im also sure Mark won’t hold a grudge I mean it’s not like you ment to do it.

As for repaying, well Mark will think of something I think.

Easy 8)

hey man, don’t worry about it. If anything, I am actually a lot more happy that it had happened. Because this new motor that I got from Jesse as well as clutch… it feels 10 times better than my old one  And now my short shifter has been fixed properly. My car feels like a whole new car now!

Oh and seth, go ahead and do it, it was actually Jesse who did the polishing of the valve cover, I just did some additional sanding and used some sick metal polish that made it have a mirror finish lol
