So we’re in the process of upgrading our PBX from an older Nortel Meridian 1 to a Mitel SX2000 (3300 MxE) system and I’m just looking to see if anyone currently uses a Meridian 1 that may be in need of cards, cabinets, voicemail or other miscellaneous hardware.
Also keep in mind that I work for a state auxiliary so they may decide to cancel our upgrade at any time.
Lately we’ve been having issues with finding replacement line cards and it was “decided for us” that our phone switch needed to be more “green”. It does use alot of power, but also there was a concern about not being able to support IP phones or audio/web conferencing solutions. Plus my boss hates Avaya/Nortel.

Yeah, I know. I’m not really too impressed with either of them to be honest. But this was installed long before I got here.
Yeah, that’s the thing. Very few businesses around here run a PBX, let alone one capable of supporting 5000 stations. I was hoping maybe someone from Rochester or Buffalo would be looking. If not, it’ll go to eBay or to scrap.
They have a hosted solution but they usually just work with small companies to install phone systems and they provide the trunking and connections to the public network.
