Honda S200. sOn
Nice pick up. Always had a soft spot for Miatas, unfortunately my dignity doesn’t. lol
fixed
i wish, 16v does rev high but deff wouldnt like 9k AT ALL lol
I love this car. I’m getting mor accustomed to when I can shift through corners and when I can start pushing the pedal and how much speed I can carry through curves…but I wont lie, I’d like it to be faster in a straight line…
corky. you are him.
?
Fastest run at LVD: 14.941@88.27mph 2.161-60’
Baseline Dyno: Done at Northeast Speed with Jim Jennings. He warned me upfront that the DynoDynamics Dyno would be approx 20whp shy but his is designed for tuning puposes more so than a DynaJet or Mustang Dyno are. He went online after and, using my 14.9 and the weight of the car the calculator determined tha car shoudl have 153whp. Which is right where expected.
The HP is pretty steady climb, the torque is pretty flat from 4400-on, and the A/F is pretty good for forced induction, sitting right around 11.5:1, however the computer doesn’t start dumping fuel till about 4k, which is when you can hear the turbo at full roar. He said that, although safe for factory parameters, is stealing hp. It should dump fuel much earlier, to counteract the lag in both the pedal and the turbo. He said all-in-all its pretty well tuned from factory.
These numbers were for baseline not bragging rights. I wanted something to go off of for when I get around to putting the MSM Lil Enchilada on. When I do that, I’ll dyno it again. Then I’ll install the Apex-i Neo AFC I have and have him tune it. Also when I install the kit I’ll install all my gauges (A/F, Boost & Oil Pressure). Ill Get one more gauge. Any suggestions? I dont wanna put my voltmeter in that’s just useless to me. I was thinking an EGT gauge.
Looks like a fun car
nice to see a lil progress with this. nice car.
I’m gettin all the baseline info I need. Edinburg AutoX (I know they could have been slightly better but I got something to go by), LVD times, and baseline dyno #'s to see what the kit can improve
SOLD
Well that was a bit abrupt. Finally realized it was a Miata…
