Well I planned on doing what you said and use the GTX rods and throwing a little more boost. I just said GTR cuz it’ll run about the same power wise I’m hoping. GTR shit is too pricey for me.
fwd b6t rods, bp rods, and bpt rods are the same, the gtx b6t had bigger rods , and the gtr familia had even bigger…
i can get gtx b6t rods sent over with the next load of ya want some…we only got them in the 87-88 gtx’s here the rest got the smaller ones…

Oh ya and its real easy to make a 331 pull 500hp NA. Just built one at the shop with 479 on 12.1 compression and a high roller cam. Not to mention the 331 that was in a buddies Cougar Eliminator was pushing a little over that on pump gas. If you wana know how, Call “M&T Cylander Heads” out of Honeoye NY. They build race motors, mainly for hydroplanes but also for cars. Including the motor for this build…

I have a bunch of turbos sitting around… I know the K4 I wanted to use wont do the job, maybe, dont know yet. I’ll figure it out when I get there. Right now priority is getting the BP in the car. Spare motors are cheap and M&M has 3 or 4. I’ll build one on the side to prepare for the turbo setup.
