I have a 91 Escort LX from Florida. 49,000 original miles. Absolutely no rust. I’m slowly working on my transformation. I pretty much wanna do what you are. I had grey bumpers, switching to a single all white. I bought a stock spoiler, that I still need to mount. I got nice rims on it and stereo. Bought it for $1600 off an 84 yr old lady.
Got the motor out yesterday.
Also put the GT wiring harness/ECU, powersteering lines, and most of the front suspension in. Reinstalled the brake master cyinder and converted the fuel return line to work with the GT’s. Next step is to swap the throttle cables, pedal set, and hydroulic clutch setup. Then drop the motor in…

Its a very nice solid car, only thing was, when I bought it, everything was original except tires brakes, fluids and battery. Heater Core died soon after I bought it and alternator went like 2 months ago. it only had 41k on it when I bought it last may.
Today I got ahold of an exhaust cam for the swap. That will be sent to the shop tomorrow to be cut. Removed the A/C for obvious reasons. The previous owner welded the exhaust manifold to the downpipe like a retard and it looks like shit. I’m going to try and find one at the yard on tuesday.
I wanna try to keep it in good condition, although I already destroyed the front bumper, which were grey and I hated them, I’m getting white ones tomorrow.

You looking for LX or GT bumpers? I have the white ones from this car still…
It doesnt matter, down the road, I think it would be cool to do a GT swap, but I dont have the professionalism to do that. It doesnt matter which bumpers, but I would like to find a GT grill to put on it.
The only grill I have is going on this one. If you want the bumpers from this throw me a couple bucks and come get them. I’m just going to use the GT bumpers from the donor car. They are both preaty clean. Rear bumper has a couple scratches, not real bad.
I already found bumpers from someone else, but if that falls through, then I will definitely let you know to buy them from you.

They arent going anywere soon… I think I’m going to use the LX rear bumper already on the car. I dont like the design of the GT’s(as shown in pics on previous page).

I just came from M&M U pull it, they had a white gt with blue trim, the front bumper was pushed in right in the middle and grill was destroyed.
Ya that was the car I got the side skirts off of. I’ll pm you more info about the bumper.
