Thank you, I still need to get my ecu chipped in a 3 weeks or so if you want to still do it.
Thanks guys. Pirite, if you want to come over sometime after my paint is done to snap some shots for me your more than welcome to
I’m game.

Well the guy painting my car has been sick and didn’t finish the parts I dropped off yet so the car won’t be going there until Sunday unfortunately. So it’s going to be a little longer than expected to get my car back from paint. At this point I don’t really care how long my car takes as long as it’s done right and I have the car exactly how I want it.
+1 Ryan. You’ve come lightyears since we pulled that boosted hatch into my garage and that pyscho came at us with a sledgehammer. lol. But seriously you leap frogged my knowledge so fucking fast, now your build is coming out so god damn clean. Keep it up, I wish I had your patience with this type of shit.
Btw- Would your father possibly start parting out the camaro? I really really want his front end and fenders to convert my ugly 1979 style front end to that sexy 1970 style. lol
Thanks Tyler. I started to have run out of this patience thing you speak of haha. I dont think my dad will ever part with his car. I think next winter when i put my car in storage my dads car is going to come apart and im going to work on that. Most of the front has to be replaced. Hes buying new fenders and shit because they are pretty rotted close to the bottom.
for sure!
i think you’ve got my number, if not just shoot me a pm
Ok bro
Heres a little bit of an update after tonight. i stopped by at the guys house thats painting my car and here is what i found
The fenders and bumpers will be in color tomorrow and I plan on going over there for a few more pictures when i get out of work.
dont use the same paint on the bumpers as on the body, they make special paint for bumpers, regular paint will crack off. I’m sure you already know this, but if you didnt, heres your chance to save that hha
Haha yeah i know. They dont make special paint for the bumpers but they make the additive that goes in the base and clear to make the paint much more flexible. The guy doing it is pretty damn good. I trust him.
Fenders, doors, and rear bumper are in white. The shell is going there after I get out of work. Here’s a couple pictures I took with my phone just after he painted them, they are baking right now to let the clear lay flat and cure it.
His garage was just under 70 when he sprayed and just under 100 degrees when I left. It was nice for a change to be in a warmer climate haha. The paint is sitting in there at about 120 degrees for an hour. I can’t wait for my shell to get sprayed and I can start putting it back together.
Isnt the tops of the doors visible? That thin rail that’s still yellow where the window touches when it’s rolled up.
I was thinking the same thing but then I realized that the CRX’s have that black trim piece that goes along the window trim, kinda like this:
Lol, I left an important part of my statement out, I think it’s visible from the inside of the car. Sitting in the seat, look up at where the window rolls up to is the only way I can describe it.
Oh! I think I know what you mean, it’s the same thing for my Prizm, hmm.
Yes I do believe it is visible but if it is it is black and the stock black that was underneath the yellow masking tape is in amazing condition so we decided to leave it well enough alone.

Loaded the car on my neighbors trailor and took it to the painters house. After I got it in his garage we put the car on jackstands and took the front subframe back off as well as all the front suspension to make things a little easier to paint everything.

This car is the only known car to fit on this trailor so far haha. i have had it on before and it only fits by a couple inches if the front bumper is off.
Oh that’s painters tape?? Haha
LOL what did you think it was, primer?
