Esford90's CRX Si Build (Second Try)

For some reason I thought it was yellow OEM paint or something lol.

lol no we just taped it off. Everything was primed, sealed with a white sealer, base coats and alot of clear so we have enough material to work with when wet sanding.

The black will be sprayed on the front and rear bumpers with a trim paint after we wetsand the car. We are waiting to wetsand and buff the car until after I’m mostly done with the assembly just in case I put a little scratch or something in the paint.

looks great.

whoever did the paint is good.

Thanks! and yes he has exceded my expectations for the car. I can’t wait for it to be all wet sanded and buffed.

He finished the inside of the car, underside of the hood, radiator support “t” bracket, and hinges today. I’m bringing the car home around 11 in the morning so ill have pictures of it out in the sun. Here are a few for now.

More to come soon

Car is finally home minus a couple of pieces.

lookin good! Were in the same boat…reassembly

looks amazing.

Good job, that is gonna be a nice rex. I love white cars, I would love a white Exclusive edition CRX if they made them with the beige interior.

Should have tried to get a SIR glass roof

I love my sunroof, although I would have loved to get a glass top but it would have taken me alot longer and I dont have the time.

UPDATE:

Put the motor in today. After putting it through the top last time and scratching my frame rails because there is less than an eight inch clearance on each side I picked the car up high enough to slide the motor under the car and lifted it up through the bottom.

If your wondering why the bolts for the mounts arnt in all the way its because I am getting new ones and im going to be taking those rust ones out. So I put them in just enough to keep the motor up.

looks awesom ryan keep up the amazing work!

Thanks man. Me and my friend will be working on the car later tonight getting the brake lines in and I’m going to start on the fuel lines. I need to order up a carbon fiber sheet to cut the backing plates out of to back the firewall holes with. Then some wire tuck through the fender wells need to he ran.

HONDAS BE COMIN BACK!

Seriously, I like it a lot!
