LMAO!:drivin
most specific and direct answer evar
that was awesome.
most of the places u just give them extra $20 and u pass but thats in ghetto hamilton
$250
$250 what are u high?
i really doubt a shop would risk losing their drive clean certification for a mere $20 bribe.
how are they going to loose it any car can pass emissions legally u just pull timing…
Lowest price I’ve heard was $150.
I need emission!!! anyone?
i know a place that may do it for 2 bills…
but ill have to take it in. I know this guy personally and after he got booked a few years back, he really doesnt like doing it for just anyone anymore.
Sorry for the old thread revival guys, but I’m having an emissions nightmare right now. I have my 2002 Altima 2.5 and I’ve failed the test twice. I’ve got 271,000kms on it but car still runs properly. No issues at all besides trashed motor mounts (which I replaced the day before my last test)
Mods: XS Power header with O2 Spacers, Lightweight pulley, Berk V2 Shortram, 3.5 Dual exhaust
Test 1:
ASM2525
HC PPM: Limit 66 - Reading 96
CO %: Limit 0.37 - Reading 0.08
NO PPM: Limit 505 - Reading 2315
Curb Idle
HC PPM: Limit 150 - Reading 76
CO %: Limit 0.70 - Reading 0.03
NO PPM: N/A
After the first test I swapped my mounts since they were all gone. Put in an aftermarket cat. Added a spacer to the headers for the O2(had one on, needed 2). Seafoamed. Changed Spark plugs to NGK Iridiums. Oil Change & Air Filter change. Here are the second test results.
Test 2:
ASM2525
HC PPM: Limit 66 - Reading 41
CO %: Limit 0.37 - Reading 0.03
NO PPM: Limit 505 - Reading 1871
Curb Idle
HC PPM: Limit 150 - Reading 29
CO %: Limit 0.70 - Reading 0.01
NO PPM: N/A
Any ideas about why I keep failing? After making those changes I managed to pass the HC PPM reading during the ASM 2525 test but still failed miserably in the NO reading. I’ve read something about adjusting timing, but could that cause such a high NO reading?
Thanks in advance guys
