Anyhow i have an advisor who manages my money fo the most part but i opened an etrade brokerage account last week to play with some free funds i have and today i went to buy some stuff and got this message.
- For the first seven business days after using our real-time account opening feature, you are restricted from short sales, extended-hours trading, and trading OTC Bulletin Board securities.
So im kind of a newb but can someone please tell me what restriction im breaking here. Im buying SIRI and DEIX during regular trading hours. Thanks alot guys.
For price i have it at market. If i do trailing stop $ it seems it will let me go through but i didnt agree since im not even sure what this means. Ugh i suck at teh investing.
those are “advanced” trading techniques, i doubt u were doing them…i’m not sure why the restrict that, i guess so people w/ inside info dont sign up to make a quick buck then withdraw and leave the country or something
