I flew off of a microwave tied to my friends car in a parking lot back in good ole high school days. I was smart enough to wear a helmet.

I think seeing the consequences of their actions being seeing their friend almost die, and now playing the waiting game to see what the long term mental effects will be are a lot more effective than a punch to the face.
I’m glad he didn’t die and I’ll say a prayer that there aren’t any long term changes and/or disabilities. The brain is effing weird. A guy I used to work with fell 10 feet onto the concrete, head first. Skull fractures and all that. No disabilities but he was telling me once how he felt himself developing anger problems afterwards.
I am sorry to hear about this and I hope your friend is ok.
I however am praying for humanity, because this was really really fucking stupid.

While I agree that we have all done stupid shit at one point…I in fact have fallen off the trunk of a car right around age 16 or 17 but being 10 years older it is amazing how fucking stupid this sort of thing really is.
I guess I hope he is ok…but more importantly I hope you all learned a lesson
it sucks when things like that happen, but who doesnt do stupid shit when there 16-17 years old.
I have learned a great deal off all this and I thank you all for the support 
it sucks that he fell off.
i remember doing such crap when I was 15.
but there was 8" of fresh snow on the roads…
so he could not stop fast if he wanted to…
i also used to hold onto cars while riding my 20" bike too.
hope he turns out alright.
and i hope a lesson was learned as well.
