I received some nice new MHI Evo 3 16G’s today. One is sold and gone, but I have two left at 539 for board members.
To outperform this turbo you’re looking at spending more than twice as much. It’s just a great unit. Ask any of the many board members who’ve used it and they’ll tell you the same.
It spools up very low and packs quite a punch. This is a great turbo for those looking in the ballpark of 300-330 whp on 93 octane and 350 or more with race gas or pump+meth.
This turbo has been used with great success on many different cars, and it’s a direct bolt on for the DSM crew.
Do any other engines have anticlockwise turbos or is it just the Evolution?
(I remember reading that somewhere a few years ago when people started talking aboot aftermarket turbos for the Evolutions when they arrived here)
That will be happening soon, as my bike has been sold. I am just waiting for the $$ to be delivered, and wrap up that whole deal. I am not to sure what direction I am going to go as of yet, so maybe you can be so kind as to give me a little direction.
You know what I have now, and you know where I want to go, so post up what you think is next. (I am also thinking in that bill would be an ACT street clutch just in case the stocker takes a shit soon.)
An ACT street clutch won’t cut it for what I have planned for your car. LOL
Also they don’t play well on Evos with higher than stock redline.
We can talk about that elsewhere though.
Not that I can think of off the top of my head. The turbos I’m selling in this thread use the normal rotation so they don’t work on an Evo 8/9, but they work great on just about anything else including Hondas, Nissans, etc. with a little fab work.
