oh yeah, notice how the elise guy calls it a wrx, he later goes on to say something to the effect of “evo, sti, what’s the diff”. Then there was a bit of drama as a few wrx and evo owners signed up to bitch about that and knock elises for not being able to drive in the snow. :ham:

The SUCK for sure. AS mentioned, those cars should not have been staged there.
Driver’s fault, but he has an arguement against the track/ organizers being at fault as well for placement of vehicles.
I would dick punch that guy repeatedly… I will guarantee he would not have children for at least 10 lifetimes.
Yeah, cuz I’m sure he actually wanted to plow his automobile into 100 grand worth of metal. The damage to his wallet is punishment enough. However, I’m not the owner of the fucked up NSX

Unless he had track insurance you can bet all 3 drivers are SOL. Most insurance companies wont cover damage to a car or other cars run at a racetrack.
Thus if I were either one of the 2 cars that got bashed I would be doing lots of dickpunching.
Why? It was not his fault he hit those cars.
It was a driver’s school, mistakes happen. The organizers need to account for this and stage cars in a safe location. They turned a single car accident into a multi-car accident with life threaten consiquences.
True, shit does happen but It wouldent prevent the 2 other guys from being pissed off and having to shell out almost 100k in damages.
Perhaps I was harsh. But then again we arent the drivers of the G35 or NSX which are probably left paying out of pocket for repairs.
I agree that more fault should have been placed on the event organizers. Staging cars that close without any sort of barrier protection was just asking for trouble.
Plus by the sound of it it seem as if he was asshatting on the track way overdriving his car for his skill level.
"With a few minutes left to go a hot foot in a (EVO) puts two wheels off as he rounds the last left hand turn onto the front straight which is parallel with the pit lane. As he tries to get the car back onto the pavement, he over corrects and crosses to the infield (left) side of the track and go four wheels off, not addmitting defeat he stays with it and comes back onto the front staight (sideways) and proceeds to go straight across the track (right), across a grass median and into the pit lane, plowing into an Infinity G35 and an Acura NSX which were staging!!!
This same guy had spun off track at least two times prior during the day. I don’t know why they were even letting him out there. Most outfits I’ve run with will have a talk with you after the first spin and end your day if it happens again."
Ouch that really sucks man, I hope that guy has the money to correct this.

+1 The organizers are idiots. Stagging cars next to a braking zone and a turn with no retaining wall, and allowing people out of their cars to walk around there. They are lucky people are not DEAD.
Shame on the organizers and shame on this Evo guy for getting stupid.
Of course it was an accident, but if you have had issues 2 times prior, you should be a little more careful.
I think the techno music might be there to cover up the instructor yelling at the driver
