why would i need a bigger pump to run a k04… 4 bar fpr was good enough. i did buy the car with the k04… actually it was an e05, it had giac cl12 file and a front mount.

the FMIC is ok at best, it came with a Eurospec sport E05… which is basically a K04… and he saved no money because that turbo came off and the manifold wasnt used either. … and im going to say flat out. You know nothing about VW’s, this set up will be fine for a while, he knows not to up to boost past the 16-18 area. he does his homework unlike alot of people, plus the AWD motors are a bit more stout than the AWW/AWP as they have a 20mm wrist pin rod vs the 19mm. so generally speaking, his bottom end stock to stock is stronger… and yes the my car is no slouch is to travis in regards to the comment of running off the WG

big turbo 1.8t’s are doing that on pump with 3076R’s.

so you’re going to possibly wait until your rods go while you’re under wot someday, maybe you will be lucky and they will be fine, but if I was building a big turbo car I would have done that before I put in the turbo, but maybe thats just me, I’d like to do things right so they dont shit on me every day, (my car isnt a case and point in this, it came shitted on)

I wasnt saying you would need it for the k04, clearly you need it for a 30r, I was told thats what it came with and you traded that for the turbo that crapped out on you, then you got the 30r, you saved $1k not having to buy a turbo, allready having some sort of software saved you, and not buying rods probably saved you close to $1k, so how much did that whole build cost you since your parents bought you the platform anyways? not tryin to be a dick here btw but…

my post got deleted but, I know he had to buy a new manifold, he traded his old turbo in for a bigger turbo which blew, not sure if he got any money back off of that but after that he got the 30r, he saved money in that he didnt have to buy a fmic or any of the piping and ~$1k is a good chunk of money to save, he saved alot of money in that his parents bought his platform, and travis compared his to a 28r not a 30r

i can get a pull through about 1 gear before my timing gets pulled way back. you can actually hear and feel it in 3rd on the highway, the WG opens, then you can hear it start to quiet down because the timing is diminishing and the turbo isnt staying on the boil anymore… Arnold is holding me up. he said he owes me big time.
