Exhaust pipe snapped, question on quick fix...

Just before the muffler, the pip snapped right by the flange. Wondering if something like this exists, since i don’t feel like paying a few hundo to have a new segment welded in on a car i paid a grand for:

Looking for a maybe 1 foot piece of pipe with the flange on it so i can bolt it up to the muffler, and have the other end of the pipe flare out a bit so it slips over the existing pipe…then just put a clamp on it or something so it doesn’t slide off…does something like this exist? Or will i have to weld in a new section of pipe?

This comes at a bad time since i just realized my inspection ran out this past week…and my car is DEAFENING loud now…

Sawzall, coffee can, High temp RTV and two worm clamps. Done.

Andy, call me…

Might be able to help you out…

Word thanks Joe…i get out of work in 20 minutes, i’ll shoot ya a call.

 to buds.

If it’s not too far gone I might be able to weld it back together with some left over pipe I have around here for you Andy. Let me know.

Thanks Justin…Joe may have a full civic exhaust at his place, we’re gonna see if it’ll fit next week, if not i’ll shoot ya a text and we’ll work something out. Appreciate it guys.

Don’t be poor.

Can’t you get clamps, instead of welding?

ive seen people take the flexible exhaust tubing at pepboys and slip fit it over their broken muffler and then wormgear it on the ends… works for a bit

^ Flexible exhaust tubing is cheap, easy, and readily available. Will rust fast tho.
