I have a 1995 Camaro with a stock exhaust system except i swapt the muffler out a Z28 muffler with the tips. I noticed a rattling before i changed mufflers so i looked for anything loose pipes but everything was tight. Any ideas i can use all the help i can get its really loud and makes my car sound terrible.
heat shield on the cats usually rattle, tear them off you don’t need them.

yup,busted cat!
i have lost alot of power could the cat be restricting the air and killing the power
take the cat off and run it for a while to see if it stops rattling, if it does replace the cat, if it doesn’t stop look for something else.

I take it you have a 6. I know what’ll fix your problem-junk the 6 and get an 8.

well i replaced the whole cat the inside was so beat up it was blocking the exhaust backing up into the egr valve making it leak so it melted a plug wire and part the egr valve on the top
