I used this procedure sent by my brother, and my phone can now go 3 days on a charge, instead of the 1 day. I guess the phone searches for service related to V-Cast which I don’t use anyway. Even if you get good signal, it updates something every couple minutes, significantly reducing battery life.

I’ve noticed no difference in service, coverage or anything other than battery life in the week since doing this.

Mine did too. So far so good with the new setup. I’m actually on day 2 without charging and still on 4 bars. I’m going to see how long it’ll go, keeping in mind I don’t talk allot.
Yeah I just tried this, my battery life is pretty poor so we’ll see how it works out.

I get about 8-9 months with a single AAA in my Mach 3 Razor.
When I had a Razr, I only got a day or two.
wish there was somethign for sprint …when im in buffalo i get like 3 days out of a charge now that i have a house in little valley i get about 4 hours of batt life 
Never had a problem with my Cingular Razr as long as I wasn’t roaming. 3-4 days normally without a charge. Head out to the Adirondacks where it’s searching for signal a lot and it’s 1 day if I’m lucky.
I’m talking combined time. I probably talk for 30-45 minutes per day on it.
Hold on… mine is charging. I’ll try it out when it’s recharged. Go figure. :lol:

Hmm when I had my Verizon Razr I would easily see 3 days without needing a charge. I hacked mine but just for ringers, not for the above hack. Maybe I just never used it enough lol.

Didn’t have to put it on the charger until just now, I’d say it extended my battery by 1.5 to 2 days. Weee
You can do this with the samsung sch-u740 also. Just go to the settings and tools menu, pres #, user lock is 00000. go to pref mode and change it to cdma
