Drunken mortgage worker shoots computer server

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Prosecutors say a drunken Utah mortgage company employee opened fire on the firm’s computer server, then called police and told officers someone stole his .45-caliber weapon and shot the server.
Joshua Lee Campbell has been charged with felony criminal mischief and three misdemeanors: carrying a weapon while under the influence, lying to police and public intoxication.
Investigators said Tuesday that the 23-year-old Salt Lake City man called police on Aug. 12 and claimed a man stole his gun and fired into the $100,000 computer server owned by RANLife Home Loans.
But investigators say they determined Campbell returned to the office late at night after drinking at an evening concert and he shot the server. Police say Campbell told them he was mugged, assaulted and drugged by a mystery man.

I’ve gotten frustrated so many times and joked about lighting servers on fire. This guy actually went nuts and did it lol

Pretty sure if I snapped I’d shoot someone in IT before I took out an innocent server.
