The C5 corvette was MASS produced. Why are we even comparing it to a car that you will never see on the road?

IMO and apples to apples, the Corvette out performs/out-prices Mustangs by category. i.e GT<C5, Z06>Cobra, ZR1>>>Shelby500 or higher.

mustangs are not made to compete with corvettes. 4 seater “pony car” vs 2 seater sports car.
