I would have said everything he said, grounded her in the same way he did, taken away her privileges in the way he did, but I would not have put out a video like that to embarrass her nor would I shoot the laptop.
It makes him look childish, much in the same way his daughter was.
Do I find the video entertaining? Yea sure, but I think it was dumb of the father.
Parents need to learn how to talk to their kids, not yell at them, say what they wanna say and that be the end of it. Kids are much more mature these days, deal with shit these days our parents generation never seemed to deal with. They liked to be talked to like adults. My mom talked to me and punished me in somewhat the same way this father did. I had no respect for her when I was younger, my father on the other hand sat down with me, and talked with me even in the worst of situations, and I always listened to him, and because of that I have a tremendous amount of respect for my father and I hope to be half as good of a parent as he was in that respect
