i just bought a vent free gas fireplace. got it online at fireplacepro.com. 36" Napoleon. Paid like $800 shipped. all the locals wanted $1100 for smaller units.
I looked for quite a while…no one could beat the online prices. The place i mentioned above does free shipping also.
