Yeah it’s true. And, no, technically you can’t have 4 beers an hour and drive. You people are aware that you can currently get a dwai (driving while ability impaired) if you blow .05-.07, right? Right?
For the first hour that I am drinking, I can have 4 beers and I will be at .08. For every beer thereafter, I need to wait an hour, to get back down to .08?
So with the current implementation:
.00-.04 = Legal
.05-.07 = DWAI
.08+ = DWI
New Law:
.00-.04 = Legal
.05-.08 = DWI
So with the new law, you can have 2.5 beers in the first hour of drinking. For every drink thereafter, you need to wait an hour to drive.
Driving While Ability Impaired. Yes, I did know that but for the sake of the numbers everyone was throwing around, BAC calculation needed to be clarified.
.05 would be a lot less than that. And I dont think I’m all too impaired with a couple beers (if at all)
If i drink 4 beers over an hour, and breathalyze at 60 minutes, I’m at .06 consistently. I bet I could pass any sobriety test at that level too. I disagree with this proposal
