If drugs were ever decriminalized what do you think about criminal prescription drug users?
Many news stories lately are written about prescription drug abuse.
Should the hundreds of thousands of people now taking steroids be allowed too?
Pain killers, etc, etc, etc?
Do you think only your drug of choice should be legalized?
You can see where I am going with this.(Or maybe you can’t because you have killed too many brain cells.:biglaugh:)
IMO anything really easy to get addicted to needs to be regulated. Not just for the dumb, but for the ignorant, for those who might not realize how easy some things are to get addicted to. Alcohol, tobacco, hell even pot is easy to use “socially.” No such thing as a social crack smoker, and it’s way to easy to get addicted to pain killers.
But no I probably drank away too many brain cells. Where are you going with this? Are you trying to point out that drugs shouldn’t be legalized because they’re so easy to abuse even when they’re regulated, or are you arguing that they should be legalized since everything gets abused anyway?
legal or not ill still smoke.
This debate has gone on since well people started smoking opium (SP?) I smoke pot and I like it, I think that is one drug that should be legalized. I think alot of valuable resources are wasted on stopping illegal drugs. There are more issues because of alcohol then pot.
now you guys know why my spelling and grammer suck:carnut
I have never used illegal drugs in my life, but am a member and proud supporter of LEAP.
cool site ^^^^^^
i think its obvious that some drugs are more desctructive then others. As such, if they are going to to change the laws, this should be taken into account.
easy answer, recreaction drugs are useless and not needed by anyone. their wouldnt be a drug problem if people werent wastes of life and blow money on stupid shit cause they are bored.
and yes i have smoked weed before a bunch of times, its stupid and anyone who shows any interest in it past the age of 16 needs to grow up.
so are half of the prescription meds out there that cause more problems and side effects then they cure… wihich leads to need ing more drugs for the side effects… and so forth.
Drugs = Alcohol = Tobacco same shit. People need something to take the edge off and take them away from reality for a moment. Its been done for centuries by every civilization and its a part of being human.
nobody cares about your opinion
lol! cliffnotes to my reply
i really dont think the difficulty of access that criminalization provides is worth the HUGE cost to society all around (lost tax income, extra law enforcement for possession, prosecution, jailing and probation for drug offenders) plus it puts the money into the wrong hands. Buying weed like a pack of cigs, with age restrictions and the shit taxed out of it, would still be cheaper and safer than buying it from a ghetto dude on the corner. 10% of the money spent on the whole war on drugs devoted to prevention, knowledge, and rehab would be more effective at stopping abuse than what we have now. Who doesn’t put something in their body cause its illegal anyway? Instead, ghetto ass dudes buy guns and kill each other over them.
I don’t give a shit if you do drugs. I don’t want to pay for the system to arrest, jail, charge, prosecute, and conditionally release you, in an effort to deter you from getting high.
Well how about we take your statement and change the words up a little bit. Based upon your “argument” , essentialy it is the same:
If its dumb and stupid, then why did/do you do it? As long as you are RESPONSIBLE, I dont think pot is much different from Alcohol and in this case to kinda prove that what you said is just plain dumb, modding cars.
^^
what??? that logic doesn’t work. drugs as a hobby != cars as a hobby. When I go out and do track days I’m doing something with my life. That doesn’t compare to if I was sitting at home doing drugs wishing I was doing something with my life.
But it does. What he is saying is that sitting at home smoking a joint is useless and stupid in his eyes because you are being a waste of life, IN HIS EYES. Well Im sure that a lot of people (non enthusiasts) would say that dumping thousands of $$$$ into your car is a waste of money and time. I used to say that my car was what kept me out of trouble; out of drugs, drinking and parting. In reality, my car has probably gotten me into more trouble than anything else in my life.
If I were to try to explain to my grandpa or mom why it is that put most of my paycheck into my car, they wouldnt understand or agree with what Im saying. Working on my car makes ME happy.
For some people, sitting at home and smoking a blunt and then watching a movie or doing some kind of art or whatever is what makes them happy. Who are we to tell people that they cant do what makes them happy, as long as it doesnt hurt others.
The biggest thing here is the whole RESPONSABILITY aspect of it. I can NEVER see it being legalized in our life time because people arent responsible enough to know that if you smoke a joint, you prob shouldnt drive, etc. Its a whole different kind of mentality that people dont really have right now IMO because we werent brought up with it.
But again, this is all IMO. Everyone has their own opinion…
Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), also known as N,N-dimethyltryptamine, is a naturally occurring tryptamine and human neurotransmitter. It is not to be confused with 5-MeO-DMT and is similar in chemical structure to the neurotransmitter serotonin. DMT is created in small amounts by the human body during normal metabolism by the enzyme tryptamine-N-methyltransferase. Many cultures, indigenous and modern, ingest DMT as a psychedelic in extracted or synthesized forms.
After reading that all I conclude is that you are a fool. YES it’s stupid to put most of your paycheck into a car. Make more money and put some of your paycheck into your car.
being a drug enthusiast makes you (you in the any person who does sense) a WASTE OF LIFE.
I’m sure I could take up drugs and be totally happy but it’s a facade that only would stop me from realizing I sucked at life.
i don’t know if you know this or not but pot is decriminalized in the great state of new york… most people think this means “its legal” but NO, do not get the two confused.
in my years of use of both not legal and legal usage i have found that for every illegal substance there is a legal substitute that is man made for sale… the general public “rests easy” when a doctor prescribes oxycodone instead of him saying go find your local dealer and get some herion…
it does not matter what the government does, i will still do what i want.
