if your serious pm me , a friend of mine , retired now , so 60+ is selling is 06 vette maybe 05 , its got a catback and rpmlevel 5 trans and thats it . The nice blue color with gunmetal factory rims . I think its got about 46k on it .
Just a couple tips from personal experience:

Also, if you wanna take a trip somewhere nice (like Myrtle Beach perhaps) You cant take the vette AND the girl. Who wants to drive to a nice vacation spot in their winter beater, merely because it has more room? You’re gonna wanna drive something nice AT a nice place, if I’m correct?
I say, Keep the family sedan that can hold groceries, a cooler, folding chairs, a number of suitcase, five people, has head room, is safer in a rollover or accident, etc. and throw money at upgrading the weak points (clutch, springs, final drive, turbo, maintenance on drivetrain fluids) and make it your 500awhp monster that you can drive with stuff in it wherever you wanna…
And then also buy a 93 civic coupe 5 speed and get 38+mpg lol

All depends on how fast you want to go. Traction becomes a HUGE problem with the C5 platform above 500whp or so. My 620whp C5Z (base boost, 780 on high), was useless from 60 no matter the tire you had on it.
I dont plan on driving the vette in a blizzard. it would be a summer toy. Id have a winter beater.
My dad had a c5, and a c6. pretty good storage space in the coupes imo. I used to fit all of my hockey goalie gear in there no problem. I would have another vehicle, this would not be my DD.
I appreciate the suggestions though. Hopefully someone can pick this up and enjoy it like it should be. car is ready to make some serious power if owner wants to put on a stock frame turbo and retune. All supporting mods are there and ready. If i cant sell, I’ll keep it and continue enjoying 400hp AWD fun year round.
i ran two of them, same outcome from both… ask chris or brett, they were in the car with me…
actually come to think of it the one i raced with brett and chris i raced a couple weeks later and big red was in the car and i pulled him with ease again…
i’ll race meena’s vette aswell or any other ls2 vette around here…
and i didn’t have to work to get high 12s, my first pass with the clutch it went 12.98.

maybe some ppl want to go fast and look like they are a grown up all at the same time. needless to say bwags, at your age, not alot of ppl are fortunate enough to buy a vette or own a brandy new evo in high school, so if you want a vette, id say get one!!! once you see how much fun a modern v8 rwd can be, you will always want one lol.
Bullshit, my parents are in Virginia beach right now and took their c6 convertible there with PLENTY of room to spare. Averaged 33mpg also.

Look, my point was its far more comfortable in a four door with lots of room. I’m not saying its impossible, just impracticle.
Also, the point I made about a blizzard, if his winter beater breaks down, and his only other car is a vette, and its deep into january, he is fucked. At least the Evo can be pulled out of storage for a day or two till the beateer is fixed…thats all.
