^ exactly. just the actual main structure needs to be heavy. If you’re looking to integrate support for the bumper, make that portion out of lighweight aluminum tubing off pinlocks on the main crash beam. Reduce overhanging weight as much as possible.

More bumper bar was built so heavy because I had no front core supports due to the motor swap, and the bar was the front subframe/coresupports/tie ins for the whole front end. It was multitasking.

1.5" .095 wall is more than adequate for this, even for the jackpoint when triangulated correctly.
