well after finally being all recovered from surgery, I got out to the track today. went pretty well. had to fill out my paperwork for my ihra comp. license so I can fax that in tomorrow
we were figuring we may be able to get 6.3-6.4 and it would take a few weeks to get it down to 6.1x’s…well that’s not the case haha.
2nd pass off the trailer ran a 6.07 at 112.7 mph with a 1.38 60ft. also had a 6.16 pass and a couple 6.2x passes. not bad for a Tuesday night where traction isn’t as good.
need to do my burnouts a bit longer and do some tweaking on the clutching. on a good traction night with the sled tuned in good, should run 5.80-5.90. cant wait to get out there again .
heres some pics of the sled and a couple time slips. ignore the reaction times. the transistion from pro tree to bracket is a little weird, hope to get that nailed down quickly.
1qikz, i need someone to film lol. my friend that was there helping was paying attention to how the sled was launching to make suspension adjustments. think we got it where itll be good for a friday night.
jays, right now mid-high 9’s in 1/4 probably. as for doing a burnout, plant your feet forward on ground and crack the throttle wide open and hold it. thats part of why i had to chop down another seat for it, easier to be flatfoot on ground lol.
bump. went racing last friday. dialed in a 6.13 and ran against the guy thats 2nd in points(he dialed in a 6.09). beat him on the tree, and beat him to the end of the track. let off but didnt let off enough. we both broke out but i broke out more, ran a 6.03. oh well still fun. wouldve been a 5.9x if i stayed in the throttle.
making some changes to the clutching tonight, adjust suspension a little as well. going to test and tune tomorrow.
