F'ing stoked... One hell of a deal inside

One hell of a deal on this one. 1993 Jetta iii with around 250kmi. NO (yes, i said NO) rust on the exterior. Undercarriage is completely clean… maybe a spot or 2 of surface rust, but nothing bad. Interior is a little dirty but no real damage. Engine wasn’t started in over a year, but fired up INSTANTLY when I put a battery in it and went straight to a 800-1000rpm idle… purred like a kitten. Needs a little work (new suspension, power steering pump, sunroof). And the best part… IT WAS FREE!!! Def. stoked about this. Was originally going to keep it as a parts car for my golf or fix and sell it, but after looking it over, my Golf will be the donor/parts car and this will be put on the road asap. No emissions to deal with, and a lot nicer to look at. A little more room too.
I couldn’t be happier

sorry… by rust I meant real rust. Not a little “rusty” discoloration… lol. There is some minor surface rust, but nothing is even close to penetrating… ass. lol

I love my golf. 225000 and when I pulled the valve cover and intake manifold off, the engine still looked brand new. with over 2x the miles, my golf starts better warm or cold than my truck or jeep ever did. Now this thing, with 250k on it was never started for over a year and still started up immediately and went straight to an even idle.

Dude dont get too excited here. Chances are youll get electrocuted when you try to use the windshield wipers. After all it is an old vw. Atleast you wont have 1.8t problems with that thrilling 2.0 in there…
