Uphill battle it’s been with this car for 2012. Clutch issues, clutch issues that led to tranny issues, car not making the power it should… Just sucked lol
Made 360whp, ran 12.7@110… Yea something’s fucked up
Compression good, no boost leaks, timing is 100%. In the mean time the car just would not shift. Adjusted the comp twin there and back and same deal, it sucked. Pulled the tranny and sent the twin back to comp for a refund… Then bought a new salve, stainless clutch line, and an exedy triple. Scored a non ACD tcase too for a killer deal so I ditched all the ACD shit and down the road ill put in an Rs diff in it (stock open diffs cut 1.4x 60fts and hold up pretty well to the abuse) putting the non ACD case also helped me shed a few lbs, bought a new oil pan, put everything back together.
Exedy triple drives like DREAM, no more oil leaks, everything seemed to be good and it was time to figure out what to do with the tune, I ended up going with the same tuner Travis has doing the remote tuning… At first it was a little aggravating but it’s really cool now, you can see every single change he makes to the rom and you can learn how it all comes together. We’re on the third revision of WOT pull, car is making a little over 400whp @28psi… We barley even got into the wot tuning… It started to snow and I put the car away for the winter… We will finish tuning it on pump and e85 come spring.
Anyways, had the car out a week or two after I did those pulls when we were tuning. Driving up rt9 decided to shoot tony a text to see if his bro wants to race his ls2 c6 that makes 440whp and traps 120-121, 40-130 I put two cars on him… From a 60 put a car on him… This was at 26psi since the night we were tuning it was spiking 28, was a much colder night.
Tony took vids but his phone won’t let him post it on YouTube or text it/email… Oh well.
Car is put away for the winter. Just a couple little tweaks. Looking for 125-128 traps with the stock turbo on e85, a 10.9x would be nice on drag radials but I’m not sure that will happen, plan on buying mh 17in slicks to put on stock 8 wheels and then hit that 10.9x. Just want to enjoy the car for awhile before i tear into it again with the next round of mods
