It has its moments where your like “Hey this thign seems like its got a little pep” but then you floor it and its not accelerating any faster then it did just touching the pedal a little bit. If you rev out the gears it moves alright for what it is knowing its a 1.5L with 109 ponies. It gets out of its own way on the highway, all that matters to me, I can overtake if I need to.
The fact that its a little slow makes it a lot of fun in the turns though
haha, does seem to be a stout little motor, before I actually agreed to buy it I was looking at the exact same thing, seeing it beeing used in boats and figured it probably takes a hell of a beating.
Haha, not even going to think about possibly doing ANYTHING performance wise to it, I did look into it a bit and I’m sure it would be a blast compared to the power it makes now, but sinking 3-4 grand into it seems like a waste, hey who knows maybe when I pay it off I’ll do it if I dont have something else by then and the Z is done
Just K swap it once you pay it off! There’s a youtube vid of a supercharged K20A3 fit and it looks like a blast lol. Or you know just drive it til the wheels fall off which will be a long time!
So, diden’t take long to do something to it, must be the ricer in me, that and the fact that every other fit I see has a senior citizen behind with wheel.
Got some Lamin-X fog light vinyl, not as dark as I’d like it to be, but I may just add a little duplicolor tint over the film, want to try to avoid spraying the actual fog light itself.
Also ended up picking up a Vibrant Axle Back for 100 Shipped, was somewhat worried as to what it would sound like as no one seems to have a sound clip or really mentioned what it sounds like, but I have heard vibrants on many other cars and they sound great, figured hey if I dident like it I could just sell it and make some money off of it…
Sounds pretty good, for a car with a blender for a motor it sounds pretty throaty (for a 1.5L 4 cylinder), was veyr worried about it being High pitched and raspy, but its pretty deep, and just loud enough.
Honestly sounds better then a lot of clips I heard of 300+ dollar Buddy club/Apexi/Greddy/Tannabe exhaust for the car, then again videos really don’t do exhausts justice… I’ll have a video clip up shortly
Heres a video of it you can tell its not that loud… Had my old man take it down the road so I could listen, you deff can hear it comming but its not obnoxious at all… It’s a little bit deeper then it sounds in the video as well
