Not really. A stock Sti or evo weighs in around 3300 pounds. I think you may just be stereotyping the typical gutted out honda civic hatchback that weighs >2600.

My car is a hefty 3600lbs. But I’m not the norm, either. Fastest time on audi forums on same car with same kit as me is like 12.5… not quite the beast others would be with the same hp/tq numbers, but good for a plush grocery getter, anyhow.
I agree, fast is fast. I love the sound of a V8, but I love being able to bolt-on boost and mess with some stuff to effectively almost triple hp/tq numbers from stock when it’s all said and done.

I agree about fast is fast, but lots of torque at low rpm’s is a lot more fun to have over high rpm hp IMHO.

I agree. Torque is fun, but so is top end horsepower… ecspecially when you go sailing past someone on the highway like they are standing still. So it goes both ways.

I can think of one import car in the last year or so that didn’t want to go from a dig, just one. and he was driving a wagon, otherwise, what import thats worth a damn doesn’t want to go from a dig, I always did, joe does, eric does, even sammy when he doesn’t have a chain around his ankle does. Who doesn’t go from a dig anymore. Frankly the only cars I see wanting to go from a roll have been the cobras, I can think of three around here (all from monroeville) who are afraid to do anything else.
