FML v. Broken ankle

when i broke my ankle they said fractures are worse the breaks when it comes to ankles. gl with it though

juat?

bottom line: even if it sucks to pay for, you can’t afford to NOT have health insurance. medical bills pile up FAST.

When it comes to ankle problems, fractures are worse then breaks.

I can afford to not have it for sure.
Theres a simple soloution to medical bills, dont pay them, they arent a car loan, they dont collect intrest.

The longer you wait on bills the cheaper they get, trust me.
It would cost me ridiculous amounts of money for health insurance, money that could easily pay taxes, so should I not pay taxes and go to prison just to get health care? Oh wait with nyspeeds attitude, I should sell my house and live in a box as long as I have health care.

And people use to call me stupid :smash2:

Pay the bill at your own pace, a broken bone is in the tune of 700$.
Most medical visits are in the tune of 700$.

and someone needs to show me where I can get health insurance for 2k a year. I was quoted 400 a month.

I broke my foot a few years back, bill was 760$. they settled this year for 248$

Just Karter is the reason health insurance is so damn expensive. Our insurance pays for your medical care too.

That’s my line of thinking as well…

I pay WAYYY too much to live in this state, in this area thanks to nycity
I’ll take universal healthcare for sure.

If the population of just nycity is paying an extra 1$ a year because of me, good god damnit, because Im paying an extra 4g a year in taxes because of them.

@ Karter: As long as it’s a life-threatening issue, sure. But if it’s not, no one will work on you without cash-up-front or insurance. Hospitals aren’t stupid, they’re businesses just like everyone else.

sweet, a broken bone is 700 (according to you), something like appendicitis could run 20k+. but, of course, you know what’s going to happen before it occurs.

i completely agree that a young, healthy person would likely get away without health insurance, but you never know what’s gonna happen. i felt it was worth paying for insurance to cover my ass. you don’t.

i sincerely hope it works out for you.

no. medicare/medicaid have set reimbursement rates. It doesn’t effect them. But the doctors charge our private health insurance more to make up for the money they lose on treating ER freeloaders.

I dont look at it as free loading, the charge you 400 - 450$ just to show up at the emergency room. Everything they do to you ontop of that is extra, I paid the extra, I’m not paying 450$ so they can tell me to have a seat while bleeding, so i can wait for some Rn to take my BP. before they stich me.

I’m glad this thread is around, it brings to light the real reason why Obama is pushing for health care reform.

I am for public health care as long as its only for people who pay taxes and does not cost me more of my paycheck.

And I bet you have great credit as well…you’re an idiot.

Sothtowns, health insurance is worth having. PM justafourdoor…he always seems to have some kind of insurance answers.

yeah just karter’s method works if you never want a mortgage, credit card, car financing, etc.

I don’t need credit, I don’t live beyond my means.
My homes are paid for, I dont like new cars, so no need to own one.
Credit is completely irrelevant.

Preaching to the choir here, I paid 6,000$ for the shit with my eye, shit happens.

For every year healthy, you dont get back the money you paid for insurance do you? Like I said, find me healthcare for 2k a year, that will cover the shit I still have to do for my eye, and I’ll get it, until then I’m good.

One of the main reasons Americans are in such a hole is because of borrowing aka credit.

edit and for the record I am also guilty of it

Well sell a home and get health insurance for a year. And credit is not irrelevant. Insurance costs are based of this, any kind of loan, jobs…etc.

But then again based upon how you feel that education is a waste, you will never have to worry about a job where they do a credit check.

WHY WOULD ANYONE SELL A HOME TO BUY HEALTH INSURANCE?!?!
God some of the people on this site make speedped look smart

As for how I feel about education, I feel that useless classes are useless, and learning the specific trade you are going for would make more sense, why, BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE.

As for what cavi mike said, YESS people have been living way beyond thier means for WAYYYY too long.

When I get the I wants, and I cant afford it, I dont get it.

I dont turn into the fucking guy from popeye and say “i will gladly pay you on tuesday for a hamburger today”

Thats everything that is wrong with america
