For all of you who hated! K series finally tuned!

yes 3 inch exhaust… could not fit 4 inch with my manifold… brake master cylinder in the way…1600cc injectors…plenty of fuel there…just need the c16 and jeff evans soon

Oh and in case anyone cared… the car made 412whp or somethin like that on 10psi…honestly i believe there is MUCH more potential out of this motor, then guy tuning my car had only tuned 3 other cars on kpro, which whoever knows about kpro knows wut i mean…K series is MUCH different then tuning B series…

thanks for everyones comments and input, cant wait to get back to NY and see everyone at the track

i dont know the boost pressure, but i know the turbo ran out of oomph

dan you 21 yet?

turned 21 yesterday…driving my car on my birthday was my bday present…its been a year since i drove it last lol

lol when you come up here let me know…we will go out in albany for the night

Nice!!

4088 does work better on a B series however, K’s need a bigger turbine wheel to match the effciency of the head. When you start pushing it it will fall off hard. 4294r or even something like a 366xl or 368 which both run a much larger turbine wheel would be more ideal on a k without having to go 72mm.

I wouldn’t think about a dog box if your gonna drive on the street, its not the funniest thing lol. Get the PPG syncro gearset, its under $3k now and we’ve ran them atleast 75 passes ~750-850whp with no issues…and they are perfect on the street.

This is on 24.5 tire. Have you tested on 26x10?

pretty much yes, We exhausted the turbo. I think its only rated at something like 725hp…

my dyno map is a little off due to the wastegates not staying closed. Over the winter I plan on use a CO2 setup to keep them shut.

forgot to say, car looks nice !

25" tire on the syncro set. I’m not saying its unbreakable, but you can’t beat it for a K series car that is still goin to be street driven a decent amount and for sub 3k price tag.

We have 26’s now with the Dog box. Haven’t tested yet, kinda getting screwed around with a motor that know one seems to know what works and what doesn’t…Accord block, s2000 crank/oil pump, etc. Oil pumped didn’t mount correctly, Accord timing belt cover hits mount, blah blah. ERL took it back to get things figured out so we are throwing another k20a sleeved block in for now to get back out, should be at the track next weekend…We’ll see how the axles hold…its makes alot more tq than a B series :ohnoes

i think you know chad from PA “xxx racing team civic SFWD” he also had problems with ERL. IS this common?

well while i was building this car for the SFWD class i was under the impression that a gt40 was biggest i could go with the K series, recently ive heard rules have changed…if you and anyone else knows the exact rules please inform me…im a 20 year old kid, i did not build this car for anyones judgement at all, i built this car from the ground up with NO help what-so-ever in a 15 ft garage with no lift lol, there is still plenty more power left, more turbo combinations to be tried, and displacement also…next year after i run the car a few times im looking into the 2.2 de-stroker kit that several people run such as clutchmasters…so opinions i love to hear, cuz if u ask anyone who knows me well i do what i say im gonna do and thats that…there has been 6 different motors in this car in the past 2 years becuz i cant make up my mind, and im set on 1000whp which i can guarentee you guys i will hit it soon…lol

thanks for all the comments, more are welcome, cant wait to bring my car back to NY next spring to see all my old buddies

thanks man, took a good look at yours too, great power, cant wait to see you on the street in spring

pics of the car can be found here too if anyone is interseted…

IMO i wouldn’t build a car for any class. There’s no stability in any sanctioning body anymore…build the car for your goals.

We have a 2.2L (k24 block, ap2 s2000 crank), its expensive and a headache…a 2.0 with good sleeves/pistons/rods will be more than enough.

Pics look good man!

Code Blue still wins the biggest sleeper award though :lol

He got the turbo when NHRA was still around and you had a chance to win a wally :bowdown.

Were you guys using the 2.2L to break 1000hp?

I understand…We’d run somethign smaller if it meant running nhra…either s368 or 4294r with 68mm inducer…the k’s need the bigger turbine wheel.

Nah, we were offered the motor for a really good deal and thought we’d try it out. It won’t hurt picking up a few rpms in spool though, the 4202 is pretty big, but im confident the 2.0 can make some big numbers

where did you guys stop revving at? the car must make a crap load of torque/power between 4500 and 6500. power must flatline and torque must be dropping like a rock after 6500 because it would have made quite a bit more power if it held 452 ftlbs past 6500rpms. by 8000rpm it would have less than 360 ftlbs to make nothing more than 547whp. do you have a dyno plot? what cams are in the car?
