Isn’t gold currently under 1300/oz? Do these specific ones pull more?
I know someone looking to pick up some gold/silver, will send this along.

There are always premiums above spot. More so for graded.

It seemed a little high at first glance, but its not a bad deal if this is what you are looking for.

10+% premium is a given for un-graded/circulated. Graded/un-circulated coins command an even higher price from the right buyer. While there is always a scrap value with metals, there may also be a rarity/numismatic value involved.

Gold futures are currently around $1,300 per ounce.

A few examples of gold coins (from a reputable dealer not ebay) that are desirable for more than just scrap value.

GLWS Derek.

Gold is currently 1305 an oz. Which to me makes no sense as china , Russia, India, etc are buying record amounts of gold every year. And we are talking 1000’s of tons! Thats a whole other topic.

Just doing a quick search at apmex.com which is generally considered the no 1 bullion site.
Prices are as follows:
ms 61 graded pre 33 gold 1,463 plus shipping and insurance.
Regular 1 oz bullion eagles 1363 plus Shipping and ins.
Also buying local and with cash insures privacy which is important to many people with assets

But the US has Michael Phelps, we have enough gold. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also a good way to rob people carrying 10 grand in their pocket. Not saying anything about you but people get jumped in parking lots for a few hundred looking to buy an iPhone, couldn’t imagine carrying cash like that.

Are you asking if he accepts bitcoin?

Haha I have bought gold bars with Bitcoin. It was pretty entertaining and looked like a high tech drug deal.

I know (online) a guy that sold his gold at a price low to buy bitcoin at it’s peak. I was warning him against it but I think he had already pulled the trigger like a dope.
Derek is legit as we all know. When I bought cards off him Amherst PD showed up to stalk me while I was waiting for him to arrive. I think he sent them. haha

As far as meeting in public, I can meet somewhere safe for both people. A town hall probably would be best if there was a concern. I’ve done many 5figure deals at Tim Horton type places before with no real concerns. Or feel free to buy two at a time.

Met Derek at McDonalds and bought a whole shoebox of silver off my wife and I to pay for our wedding. Dug through everything hoping to pay us more for some coins that would have been worth much more than melt/bullion. Would not hesitate to do business again.

Thanks spam!
Thought of even a better way. Meet at a bank

If I’m carrying cash like that, I bring some of my own metals…iron and lead.

or even safer, the buyer can just issue a cashier’s check on the spot at his/her bank.

Privacy is often desirable when dealing with precious metals.

Even safer, you could meet at the White House wrapped in bubble wrap. Sorry, had to
